1. Information we collect
- Information you give us: your name and email address when you join our email list or download a free guide, and anything you send through our contact form.
- Collected automatically: IP address, browser and device type, pages viewed, referring site, and similar usage data, gathered through cookies and server logs.
2. Cookies and third parties
We use cookies and similar technologies for site function, analytics, and affiliate tracking.
Third parties, including Amazon and other affiliate partners, may serve content and advertisements, collect information directly from visitors, and place or recognize cookies on visitors’ browsers. This includes:
– Amazon Associates. Amazon may set cookies when you click our links to track referrals. See Amazon’s Privacy Notice.
– Affiliate networks and brands: Awin (BLUETTI), Anker, EcoFlow. They use cookies to attribute purchases (cookie lengths vary, typically 7–30 days).
– Analytics: none currently; this section will be updated if analytics is added.
– Email provider: Our email provider (when the newsletter launches) stores subscriber data.
– Pinterest: if we add a Pinterest tag, Pinterest may collect data about visits from pins.
– Hosting: Hostinger hosts the site and keeps server logs.
You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can manage non-essential cookies through our cookie banner.
3. How we use information
To run and improve the site, send emails you asked for (you can unsubscribe in any email), answer messages, measure traffic, and earn affiliate commissions. We do not sell your personal information.
4. Your rights
- EU/UK (GDPR): you may access, correct, delete, restrict, or port your data, and object to processing. Our legal bases are consent (email list, non-essential cookies) and legitimate interests (security, analytics). You may complain to your data-protection authority.
- California (CCPA/CPRA) and other US states with privacy laws: you may know, delete, and correct your data, and opt out of “sale” or “sharing” for cross-context advertising. Affiliate and analytics cookies may count as “sharing”, so use our cookie settings or browser Global Privacy Control signal to opt out.

5. Retention and security
We keep email data until you unsubscribe or ask for deletion, and logs and analytics for up to 26 months. We use reasonable safeguards, but no method is 100% secure.
6. Children
This site is not directed to children under 13 (or 16 in the EU), and we don’t knowingly collect their data.
7. Changes
We’ll post updates here and change the “Last updated” date.
Email sign-ups
Free guide sign-ups: when you request our free guide, we collect your name and email address through a form on this site (WPForms). We use them only to send the guide and occasional outage-prep emails, and we store them in our WordPress database and, if connected, our email provider (Hostinger Reach). We never sell your email. Every email includes an unsubscribe link, and you can ask us to delete your data via our contact form.
